Licensure Supervision

The supervision relationship is based on openness and trust. During the supervision process, you and Kesha will focus on developing your clinical skills, theoretical knowledge, learn best ethical practices, and develop personally and professionally through self-reflection. Kesha excels at providing a safe and encouraging environment to help you grow and build confidence in your new profession. Together you and Kesha we will explore your therapeutic style in developing and maintaining client relationships.

Qualifications

Kesha is approved by the State of Tennessee Board of Licensed Professional Counselors to provide supervision to those working towards the required 150 hours of post masters supervision . Supervision will be based on the rules established by the State of Tennessee Board of Licensed Professional Counselors.

With 5+ years of experience as a Licensed Professional Counselor, Kesha brings a diverse background of skills and perspective that include: 

  • treating children, adolescents, and adults in individual, family, and group settings

  • experience working with diverse client populations 

  • providing crisis counseling services

  • a client-centered, culturally responsive, trauma-focused, and strengths-based approach

  • management and oversight of a counseling program at several non-profit agencies, including supervision of therapists and interns

Support

As a clinical supervisor, I will:

  • provide direct individual or group supervision consisting of a minimum of four hours per month depending on the need of the supervisee.

  • give feedback and guidance on counseling techniques, application of theories, differential diagnosis, and ethics.

  • review case notes and other documentation when appropriate.

  • be available for phone consultation if a crisis arises or for time-sensitive situations.
